Chasing Time: Insights on Life, Reflection, and the Art of Shaping Challenges

Life moves really fast, and we’re sometimes not able to grasp the true essence of certain moments until we’ve gone past them. We only understand the significance of certain experiences in hindsight. In the blink of an eye, I went from worrying about classes and exams at the university to contemplating getting a job, starting a business, or going broke. I look back and realize I didn’t fully enjoy the best of those moments. I was so invested in getting through that period, and now I sometimes wish I could return to those times and relive my university days.

Time reveals a lot, even when we don’t take cognizance of those revelations. We tend to live with thoughts of the mistakes and what ifs of the past and the overwhelming thoughts of what the future holds, and all these make us forget to be in the present. Thinking about whom you will become in the future is important, but being you right now is essential because that’s what you have right now.

I’ve consciously and decisively decided to live in the present, to take each day as if it were my last, and to appreciate and embrace the moments, lessons, people, opportunities, and struggles. I believe you should do the same.
